Kyocide prices in Chinese market are quite different, usually be at 5500-6300 yuan per tonne. Low-end products mainly are kyocide made of fluosilicate. However, kyocide made of fluorite has a higher cost, which cause a 6300-yuan(per tonne) price.
The reasons of the sluggish kyocide market include overproduction, supply and demand imbalance and fierce competitions.
Some producer said that aluminium electrolyte’s erode towards kyocide market becomes more and more obvious, which largely reduced kyocide price and lead to lower capacity. Kyocide is the flux of new electrolytic aluminium factories. New type of LMW is a better replacement of kyocide and cost less.
As a precedent, Yankuang aluminium has used Backlog electrolyte block to start electrolyser in stead of kyocide in 2010. This technique has been popularized in Chinese aluminium factories. There are more and more companies specialized in selling electrolyser. Under deficit and falling aluminium price, cutting cost became a mutual target among aluminium industry. With the impact of this trend, kyocide price keep falling and market space is shrinking.
