Be short of power to pick up in 2013,China’s innovation ability in aluminum processing need to be built up

On 17th , Feb.,Chinese Ministry of Industry reported that ,China’s nonferrous metal industry will grow slightly in production,consumption and investment,while it is still short of power to pick up largely;prices continues drifting,and the phrased rebound will depend on government’s bull investment policy and the relaxed environment of global economy.It is predicted that average prices will be higher than that in 2012.

Furthermore ,manage difficulties began to ease up for enterprises in non-ferrous metal industry,however,it is still short of power to develop greatly.Some business without competitive advantages will be eliminated in the game,and non-ferrous metal industry has speedy development in industry structure.On the whole,the operation of nonferrous metal in 2013 will be better than 2012.

On account of major contradictions and problems in non-ferrous metal industry in China,the Ministry of Industry pointed out that in the domestic refining capacity surplus in most industry,especially in electrolytic aluminum industry;while low industrial concentration,the serious homogenization of products and enterprises leap their production to make up the cost,all of these factors aggravate excess capacity and rat race in market.

Therefore,Chinese Ministry of Industry will be determined to revise the industry admittance of coper,aluminum and lead as son as possible,formulate the industry admittance of titanium sponge and zirconium smelting ,rising the threshold to enter.

The report also showed that In 2012,China yield 3,691 tons of 10 kinds of non-ferrous metal with a year-on-year growth of 9.3%,among which the production of refined copper,primary aluminum,lead and zinc is 6,060,000tons,19,880,000 tons,4,650,000 tons and 4,850,000 tons respectively,with a year-on-year growth of 10.8%,13.2%,9.3% and -5.6% respectively.

At the same time,non-ferrous metal business above designed size achieve a main business income of 413.7 billion yuan,with a year-on-year growth of 15.1%;profit of 15.58 billion yuan with a year-on-year fall of 8.9%,among which select industry and smelting industry earn 41.1 billion yuan and 39.3 billion yuan respectively with a year-on-year drop of 5.1% ,34% respectively.Non-ferrous metal plating take profits of 66.6 billion yuan with a year-on-year growth of 12.9%.

Influenced by the low demand of domestic and abroad and the oversupply in the market,In 2012 average cash prices of Chinese copper,aluminum,lad and zinc is 57,339yuan,15,663yuan,15,382yuan and 15,249yuan respectively with a year-on-year drop of 13.6%,7.2%,6.5% and 9.9% respectively.

Also in this year,China’s total volume of import and export trade in non-ferrous metal is $166.4 billion with a year-on-year rise of 3.7%,volume of import of $114,9billion with a year-on-year drop of 2.0%;volume of export of $51.5 billion with a year-on-year growth of 19.4%.According to variety,besides the volume of copper export increased,the volume of aluminum,lead and zinc export all cut down.
