China aluminum industrial shift has telling effects: Xinjiang province is becoming the major production base of electrolytic aluminum

On the morning of Feb.5,key project promotional meeting was held by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Party committee,Kurexi.Maihesuti,the member of the standing committee and the vice chairman of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region ,gave a a speech on “The report on the major industrial project of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region”.

In 2013,It is roughly estimated that Xinjiang has 428 major industrial projects,and the total project cost is about 1,681,200,000,000yuan,the annual planned investment is about 167.5 billion yuan.Among the 428 projects,40 of which has a investment scale of more than 10billion yuan.

Kurexi.Maihesuti said that the cities and towns in Xinjiang have completed investment 298.8billion yuan in 2012,occupying 47.7% of total fixed investment year-on-year growth of 33%.The added value of industries above a designed scale is 294billion yuan increased by12.7%.

With the non-ferrous metals aluminum industry on the rise,China aluminum industrial shift has telling effects.Depended on the energy advantage in Xinjiang,the investment of electrolytic aluminum industry will keep increasing in 2013,with a rise of 159% in 2011 and an increase of more than 50% in 2012.Xinjiang has more than 14 electrolytic aluminum enterprises,capacity under construction of 5,250,000 tons,and it is becoming the major production base of electrolytic aluminum.
