China unwrought Aluminum exports grew by 6.5% on a MoM basis in October 2011. The total exports were 64650 tonnes in October 2011 compared to 60715 tonnes in September 2011. On a yearly basis, the exports of unwrought Aluminum were down by 6.3% from 69005 tonnes in October 2010.
Aluminum production in China was also quite flat in October month as per National Bureau of Statics. The total Aluminum production was 1414000 tons in October 2011 up only by 0.3%. Constant electricity problems and higher costs have tamed Aluminum production. A rise in exports in October and a flat production has been also been the expanded levels of Aluminum inventories in the country.
