The Shanghai Composite Index, which tracks the bigger of China’s stock exchanges, advanced 13.87, or 0.5 percent, to 2,918.92. The CSI 300 Index added 0.5 percent to 3,254.89.
China Nonferrous Metal Industry’s Foreign Engineering and Construction Co. (000758 CH): The company said it signed a contract worth 7.2 billion yuan ($1.1 billion) to build an aluminum plant for an Iranian company. The shares added 0.8 percent to 30.49 yuan on Feb. 28 before being suspended.
Jiaozuo Wanfang Aluminum Manufacturing Co. (000612 CH): The manufacturer of aluminum products said it plans to resume production capacity as a power shortage eases. The shares climbed 1.8 percent to 21.02 yuan.
