Chalco sees aluminium profitability low on costs, capacity

 Mar 1st, 2011   Aluminum Corporation of China Ltd , the country's largest producer of the light metal, sees profitability in China's aluminium sector remaining low on rising costs and excess capacity, its chairman said on Tuesday.

Chalco's Chairman Xiong Weiping also said at a press conference that the company sees China's aluminium output at 19 million tonnes this year, outstripping its estimate of the country's consumption, which it sees at 18 million tonnes.
