The Shanghai Composite Index, which tracks the bigger of China’s stock exchanges, rose 26.49, or 0.9 percent, to 2,905.05. The CSI 300 Index added 1.3 percent to 3,239.56.
Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. (601600 CH): The listed unit of nation’s biggest maker of the lightweight metal said it posted net income of 778 million yuan ($118 million) in 2010, compared with a loss of 4.6 billion yuan a year earlier. A Bloomberg survey of 13 analysts forecast earnings of 960.3 million yuan. The stock dropped 0.8 percent to 10.75 yuan.
Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co. (600550 CH): The manufacturer of electrical equipment said net income for 2010 rose 6 percent from a year earlier to 618.8 million yuan in 2010. The stock dropped 0.9 percent to 24.15 yan.
Yunnan Copper Industry Co. (000878 CH): China’s fourth- biggest producer of the metal said it plans to sell no more than one billion yuan of one-year bonds on March 8. The shares added 0.8 percent to 27.50 yuan.
