According to Northern Locomotive Rolling Stock Industry Corporation the parent company of China CNR, China CNR Corporation signed cooperation agreements with Aluminum Corporation of China.
China CNR is the largest locomotive manufacturer in China. Chalco is the largest producer of alumina and aluminum products manufacturer in China. It is also the second largest producer of alumina globally and the third largest aluminum manufacturer in the world.
According to the cooperation agreements, China CNR will provide railway transportation and exploration equipment to Chalco while Chalco will supply nonferrous metal materials to China CNR for the manufacturing of locomotives.
