Xiong Weiping, president of Aluminum Corp of China, or Chinalco, expects the company to swing to a net profit this year after a net loss of 7.25 billion yuan ($1.1 billion) last year.
Its listed unit, Aluminum Corp of China Ltd, or Chalco, posted a net loss of 4.6 billion yuan last year as the global financial crisis hit aluminum prices, according to the report.
Chinalco suffered the largest net loss among all State-owned enterprises last year.
