The output of ten nonferrous metals in China increased 8.2 percent year-on-year to 2.64 million tons in August, reports yicai.com, citing data released by the National Development and Reform Commission.
The output of electrolytic aluminum, copper, lead and zinc in August rose 10.9 percent, 9.1 percent, 1.8 percent and 5.1 percent year-on-year respectively.
The output of ten nonferrous metals rose 26.5 percent year-on-year to hit 20.92 million tons during the first eight months of the year, of which electrolytic aluminum accounted for 10.84 million tons.
In addition, the cement inventory for major domestic building material companies reached 13.08 million tons as of the end of August, while the flat glass inventory totaled 13.89 million weight-cases.
