Aluminum capacitor makers Lelon Electronics and Kaimei Electronic both enjoyed on-month revenue growth in August 2010, while fellow maker Teapo Electronic saw its August sales decrease 9.8% sequentially, according to data released by the companies.
Lelon posted consolidated revenues of NT$415.17 million (US$13.02 million) for August, up 5.2% sequentially and 43.5% on year. For the first eight months of 2010, revenues totaled NT$2.88 billion, increasing 49.8% from a year earlier.
Thanks to the appreciation of the Japanese yen, Lelon has been receiving more high-end orders from Japan pushing up revenue growth, the company noted.
Kaimei posted revenues of NT$250.69 million for August, an increase of 1.2% on month and 33.2% on year. Accumulated revenues for the January-August period reached NT$1.77 billion, up 55.8% on year.
Kaimei is expected to post a sequential growth in revenues in the third quarter due to orders from EMS firms in Japan, according to industry sources.
