MANAMA: Alba's stand at a top Chinese aluminium expo is witnessing enthusiastic response from top industry leaders, representatives of major aluminium companies and Alba's international customers.
Aluminium China 2010, a three-day international aluminium trade fair, opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre yesterday.
Visitors to the stand are expressing their keen interest in seeing how Alba's high-grade aluminium products will meet their specific requirements as well as exploring the possibility of greater co-operation with the company.
Alba's participation in Aluminium China 2010 for the third time is part of the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority's initiative to promote Bahrain's industries on a global platform, and in particular, showcase the success story of the aluminium industry through the involvement of Alba and Gulf Aluminium Rolling Company.
"Alba has established a strong reputation in the industry for the world-class specifications of its high-grade aluminium products, and for successfully enforcing strict quality standards required by many international companies," said Alba chief supply officer Isa Alansari.
"Our participation in this international exhibition once again emphasises the importance the Bahrain government gives to this specialised industry, which attracts decision makers and investors from different sectors of the aluminium industry.
"Alba's participation alongside other major aluminium smelters provides an opportunity to explore new markets for our high quality products.
"More than 25 per cent of Alba's production is exported to the Asian region, and we see it as the growth market for our products because of the tremendous opportunities available for expansion," he added.
