Warsaw – The company plans to increase sales by 40 percent. It is possible because Yawal ends investment projects and wants to increase its sales in Ukraine.
Yawal, the listed producer of aluminum profiles, is going to generate PLN 93.6m (EUR 24.1m) of sales this year, or 42 percent more than last year.
"We count that the market will grow. We have ended new investment projects in our plants and we want to increase sales in Ukraine. Plus the prices for our goods should grow", Piotr Knapinski, Yawal CEO enumerated.
Yawal forecasts PLN 11.87m of net income this year against PLN 10.65m in 2006. Last year, PLN 5m was generated thanks to selling a stake of Paged, the listed producer of wooden goods.
Another stake of Paged may be sold if Yawal lacks funds for acquisitions it is planning. The company would like to buy a company of size similar to its own. That’s why it is going to issue new shares. Talks have been stopped for the time being.
"The owners of the company we are interested in decided that negotiations will start in the third quarter", the CEO explained.
