KANDALAKSHA, January 16. In 2006, Kandalaksha Aluminum Plant produced a record volume of primary aluminum - 75 thousand tons, 30% more than the plant's projected capacity (54 thousand tons of aluminum per annum). This became possible after the implementation of new technologies in the production process.
In 2006, the enterprise developed and implemented a computational complex for electrolyte composition adjustment. As a result, over a year the plant saved over 270 tons of aluminum fluoride. It also optimized the anode technology for anode mass of Chinese origin in the second electrolysis series.
