MARKET TALK: Shanghai Aluminum Ignores Weaker Copper Tone

Shanghai aluminium futures are ignoring the weaker tone to copper and have edged up as stocks in Shanghai Futures Exchange warehouses drop 2,447 metric tons on the week, a broker notes. (much like the LME yesterday) and finished stronger. In contrast, copper is tracking LME prices lower while the spot market is also softer, the broker notes. Copper for immediate delivery in Changjiang, Shanghai's biggest spot market, is down 0.4% to 65,250 yuan a ton.
