Ecologically Safest Aluminum Plant to Be Launched on December 15

KRASNOYARSK, December 7. On December 15, RUSAL will launch the first phase of the new state-of-the-art Khakassiya Aluminum Plant. As noted by Director General of Russian engineering company of RUSAL (REC) Valery Matvienko, this will be the first startup of aluminum plant for the last 20 years.' For a long time only the so-called assembly technologies have been implemented in the country while full-cycle plants using the latest world technologies have not emerged for 20 years. HAZ will use the most sparing technology ensuring minimum discharges so it could be called the cleanest aluminum plant from ecological viewpoint.
