Noranda Aluminum's Norandal USA subsidiary is increasing its fabrication charges for sheet and foil products on all new orders scheduled for production and shipment starting August 1, the company said Friday. All 1000, 3000, 5000, 7000 and 8000 series alloys will be affected, Noranda said.
Prices for sheet products greater than 0.0078 inches in thickness will rise 3 cents/lb and prices for foil products less than 0.0078 inches in thickness will increase 5 cents/lb.
Noranda said all previously executed supply agreements will be honored.
Earlier this year, JW Aluminum and Aleris announced fuel or freight surcharges of 1 cent/lb on some of their sheet products.
Noranda Aluminum is an integrated North American producer of value-added primary aluminum products, as well as high-quality rolled aluminum coil sheet. It is a public company controlled by affiliates of Apollo Management.
