The owners of a Jackson County aluminum plant is changing names.
Alcan engineered products announced today that it's changing its name to Constellium.
Alcan became an independent company after Rio Tinto sold its 61 percent stake in the company to a New York firm and a fund run by the French government.
Rio Tinto retains a 39 percent share in the company.
Alcan owns and operates a plant in Ravenswood which is Jackson County's largest employer with more than 900 workers.
