Canada primary aluminum production during February at annual rate of 2,981,737 tonnes

The Aluminum Association of Canada reprted primary aluminum production in Canada during February 2011 at an annual rate of 2,981,737 metric tonnes, essentially level with the January total of 2,981,944 tonnes. Compared to a year ago, production was off 1.5 percent from the annual rate of 3,027,506 tonnes recorded in February 2010. Actual production in February totaled 228,736 tonnes.
