PARIS, April 18 -- The Alcan International Network announced today that it will open a new commercial office in Mumbai, India to support Alcan's growing opportunities in India. The new office will be named Alcan India Private Ltd.
"With India being one of the most exciting growth economies in the world today, it is a logical step for us to open an office there. With a mixture of local knowledge and global presence, this new office will open the door in and out of India for Alcan and our external partners," declared Jean Pierre Paillot, President, Alcan International Network.
The new AIN office will be staffed by a commercial team with a high level of product expertise in metals (aluminum, steel, ferro alloys), minerals and chemicals. Through the employment of Indian Nationals, the new AIN office will provide intelligence in local marketing approaches for Alcan and external partners.
AIN's global position will enable it to provide a comprehensive range of customized services and technical support from the manufacturer to the end user, including sales, sourcing, logistics and warehousing, local currency invoicing, and support for risk management.
Indian manufacturers will have the opportunity to utilize AIN's worldwide network, enabling them to reach beyond their normal field of influence.
