Alcan US April transaction price falls to $1.31/lb

NEW YORK, April 11 - Alcan Inc., the world's second-largest maker of primary aluminum, said its posted U.S. April transaction price for aluminum products fell two cents to $1.31 per pound from the previous month.

Alcan said its price for 99.7 remelt declined to $1.31 a lb, while its 6063 extrusion billet price was now being quoted at $1.41 a lb.
