Canada Primary Aluminum Production

The Aluminium Association of Canada announced that primary aluminum production in Canada rose 1.7 percent in October to an annual rate of 3,081,495 tonnes, an increase of 50,571 tonnes over the September rate of 3,030,924 tonnes. Compared to a year ago, the annual rate of production was up 1.9 percent over the October 2005 annual rate of 3,024,178 tonnes. Actual production in October totaled 261,716 tonnes and 2,536,884 tonnes through ten months. Year-to-date, primary production is up 6.3 percent over the same period of last year.
