Indalex to sell tube operation to focus on core business

Indalex has signed a definitive agreement to sell the assets of its drawn tube manufacturing operation in Winton, North Carolina to Spectube Inc.

"The deal will help Indalex concentrate on its core extrusion business and provide the Winton facility with dedicated management focus and investment support from its new owners," the company said, adding the deal is expected to close this month.

Spectube will acquire substantially all of the assets of the Indalex drawn tube business in Winton including a dormant aluminium extrusion facility on the site. Indalex will continue to supply the Winton facility with extruded aluminium under a supply contract with Spectube.
