Nov 14 (Reuters) - Alcan Inc. on Tuesday said it would close its beauty packaging operation in New Jersey by the end of January, affecting 71 employees, and transfer production to nearby facilities.
The move was a part of continued optimization of the company's tubes manufacturing network in the Americas to better serve its customers, the aluminum maker said in a statement.
Alcan said the Lincoln Park plant generated revenue of $17 million in 2005.
