Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) welcomed a group of 23 students from Hamad Town Intermediate Boys’ School for a site visit on Monday, February 27, 2012.
Members of Alba Public Relations met the students accompanied by their advisor Mohammed Jaber Sabt.
The purpose for their visit was to gain more insights on the aluminium production process, to learn more on the company’s credentials as a corporate citizen, environmental commitment, safety policies as well as its role as an industrial powerhouse in Bahrain.
Commenting on the visit, Alba’s Chief Executive, Laurent Schmitt, said:
“It was a privilege to welcome the students to the Alba plant, and share with them our expertise in the production of high-grade aluminium. The students were able to learn of Alba’s growth for the past forty-years and its experience in emerging as one of the world’s leading aluminium smelters.”
The students from the Hamad Town Intermediate Boys’ School were later given a tour around the various facilities of the Alba plant along with a visit to the famed Princess Sabeeka Oasis that boasts the largest artificial lake in Bahrain.
