Bahrain to host Aluminium forum

(MENAFN - Bahrain Tribune) The world's aluminium leaders are to meet in Bahrain when Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) hosts the 12th annual World Aluminium conference in May. Under the patronage of Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the commodity research unit's(CRU) aluminium conference is to be held on May 13-16 in Manama, bringing what is widely recognised as among the most authoritative events of its kind in the world to the Kingdom. The event attracts executives of most leading aluminium industries.

It offers participants comprehensive updates and insights into the latest movements in the worldwide aluminium industry. Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr. Hassan Fakhro will deliver the welcome address with the event's keynote speech delivered by the chairman of the Alba board of directors Dr. Essam Fakhro.

Other high-profile speakers include Alba deputy chief executive Mahmood Al Daylami as well as Global Primary Products and Alcoa executive vic -president and president, respectively, Bernt Reitan. The four-day conference will be held at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain, Hotel and Spa and include a comprehensive tour of the Alba smelter complex. We will also be reviewing raw materials with an emphasis on price developments, alumina, power and carbon products."
