Last Wednesday's historic strike by workers at Aluminium Bahrain has resulted in an improved pay offer, reported Reuters. Alba's union chief said that the one hour strike cost the company around $5m and management has now increased its pay offer to 20%, which has been accepted. Alba declined to comment on the estimated cost of the strike.
