LONDON -- Mining giant BHP Billiton said Tuesday that third-quarter aluminum production rose 1% to 331,000 tonnes, with all operations performing at record or near record levels. Iron ore production rose 8% to 22.9 million tonnes after increased production from Western Australian operations. Petroleum production decreased 1% to 13.2 million bbl.
