Shandong Shanda Al&Mg Melt Tech Co., Ltd. is a Hi-tech company in Shandong province of China. Technically based on the research strength of Key Lab. of Liquid Structure and Heredity of Materials (LSHM) of Shandong University, Ministry of Education of China, the company always collaborates closely with academia and transforms the advanced research work into better products in market.         The products of the company are mainly master alloys that are applied in melting process of aluminum alloys as well as magnesium alloys to modify or refine materials’microstructures and to improve materials’internal qualities. The Al-based master alloys products include such series as

Al-P, Al-Si-P, Al-Cu-P, Al-Ti-C, Al-Ti-C-B, Al-Ti-B, Al-C, etc. Other products commercially available include many Si-based, Ni-based, Cu-based as well as Mg-based master alloys. All of them have been authorized patents. Among them, Al-P master alloy was awarded the Second-class Invention Prize of Ministry of Education of China in January, 2005 and has been listed in Hi-tech products of Shandong Province. In 2000, the Al-Ti-B master alloy produced by the company received the First Class S & T Advance Prize of Shandong Province. In addition, the product "Iron-rich compound Spherilizer for aluminum alloys" was awarded the National Invention Prize in 1998. Now, these innovative products have been applied in many large-scale aluminum processing plants in China and have also been exported to many countries.

        Innovation is always the soul of the manufacturing company. During these years, the R&D section of Al&Mg have undertaken many projects such as National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Innovation Fund for Technology- Based Firms of S&T Ministry of China, Key Project of Science and Technology Research of Ministry of Education of China, the key S&T Projects of Shandong Province, etc. The general manager of the company is also appointed by the government of Shandong province as Taishan Scholar of Shandong Binzhou Bohai Piston Co., Ltd., which is the China leader of scale in piston industry. Till now, more than 20 patents have been applied by the company and 16 of them have already been authorized, which powers the sustainable development of the company. In April 2005, the company was listed as a Hi-tech company of Shandong province in China. And the company also received Certification of ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Standards in 2007.
