Event Profile
The world crisis did not have the influence on the STOM. Dozens of products which have recently emerged on the market, over 200 exhibitors representing 18 countries Poland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, Turkey, Finland, Spain, the Netherlands, Hungary, Austria, China, Taiwan, the United States, India, Japan and Korea. 2nd International Exhibition of Metal Working and Metal Machining was hold in Kielce on the end of March.
At the STOM fair, which made the most successful debut at Kielce in 2008, both exhibitors and visitors had an opportunity to acquire new information in the field of metal working, tooling, special software, computer-aided machining, as well as industrial safety.
The exhibition stands featured machines, tools, robots, automatic machines, as well as complete process lines. The International Exhibition of Metal Working and Metal Machining STOM in Kielce offered also special training pogrammes and certification. Exhibition stands were prepared by institutions, institutes, associations, research and development centres, trade fair centres and trade publications.
The fair programme included also a scientific seminar on "The Contemporary Problems in Metal Working? which was addressed, among other things, selected issues relating to the design and technologies applied in texturing slide elements of machines, simulative research on the elimination of the measurement signal noise, with the falk analysis being used; the possibility of an accurate measurement of cylindricity irregularities at a work station or on a machine tool. The keynote speakers represented the Kielce University of Technology, which co-operates with the Targi Kielce company. The conference featured a promotion of the book "Geometrical Surface Measurements. Profile, Waviness, Roughness" written by professor Stanisław Adamczak. Fairs were visited by nearly 3500 people.
