Name:The 7th Presentation of ALUMINIUM CHINA
In 3 months’ time, the 7th presentation of ALUMINIUM CHINA will open its door at Shanghai. While the buzz made by WORLD EXPO 2010 seems not yet vanished, the economic storm clouds disappear - at least over this part of the world!
China experienced strong rebound in aluminium product by the end of 2010, signaled by the overwhelming percentage of export growth against 2009, in terms of primary aluminium (321.6%), aluminium alloy (112.2%), semi-finished products (56.3%).
With clearer skies ahead for the aluminium industry, industry wide is getting more confident and optimistic towards the outlook of aluminium industry. Leading manufacturers all predict there will be significant growth in aluminium consumption -
Alcoa - China is the world’s largest alulminium consumer in 2010.
Hydro - China will see a 10% growth in alulminium consumption in 2011
Rusal - The aluminium consumption in China in 2011 will reach 18.5 million tons - 12% growth!
Rolling out the 12th 5-year plan, China is now demanding more leading technologies to sharpen its edge in manufacturing more advanced products to serve the booming end users like transportation, packaging, constructions and home appliances. Billions of investment is placed in major new launches in Henan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Guangdong, Jilin and Inner Mongolia, with product covering rolling, extrusion and die-casting and equipment supplied by international providers from Europe and Japan.
Import wise, overall demand remained steady throughout 2010, whilst boosted by the strong performance of China’s packaging industry, aluminium foil supply is leading the way and now accounts for over 1/3 of the total annual consumption in China.
All these positive trends are reflected by the huge turnout at this year’s ALUMINIUM CHINA, the longest-running exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region. From July 13 to 15, 2011, the event will open its door at Shanghai New International Expo Centre for the seventh time.
While the buzz made by WORLD EXPO 2010 seems not yet vanished, the economic storm clouds disappear - at least over this part of the world! China, at the same time rolls out its 12th five-year development plan, the aluminium industry is not only showing strong momentum in the u-turn, but also signaling new emerging trends. As usual, ALUMINIUM CHINA, the longest-running exhibition representing the Asia-Pacific aluminum industry, will once again showcase the first hand insights and latest progress in this exciting industry.
As part of the Global ALUMINIUM Events organised by Reed Exhibitions, headed by ALUMINIUM World Trade Fair and Conference held in Germany, ALUMINIUM CHINA, in an exhibition area of 23,000 sqm, is anticipated to gather global renowned brands such as CHALCO, Nanshan Aluminum, and Qatar Aluminum plus 400 local and international companies specialized in various segments covering the entire aluminum industry chain, as well as to draw the attendance of over 10,000 industry professionals, representing materials procurement, research and development personnel in aluminium applications from more than 90 countries and regions around the world.
This proven Asia’s no. 1 aluminium trade fair will aim at facilitating a world class platform dedicated for the whole supply chain in the aluminium industry and its major application industries. Supported by industry players from all over the world, the event will showcase innovative products and cutting-edge technologies in the three-day exhibition format to industry elites interested in gathering market information and purchasing demanded materials.
Mr. Edwin Tan, Vice President, Business Development & Projects, Reed Exhibitions Greater China remarked, “The active cooperation of global aluminum giants with China fully demonstrates the demanding market and the strong trend in global resources cooperation in the aluminum industry. In this environment, the announcements concerning corporate strategies, the showcasing of new industrial technology and the promotion of new equipments are particularly important. ALUMINIUM CHINA 2011, together with enterprises from all over the world, will show the vitality of the aluminum industry.”
To focus on the latest trends and address the growing need for training and personal development, the organiser also joins hands with important organisations in China to play host to a number of educational conferences alongside the exhibition area. The topics comprehensively shed light on the potential and opportunities coming out of the country’s new development plan and the dynamic application sectors such as automotive manufacturing, green energy, and environmental building etc. Industry authorities like China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association as well as its Recycling Metal Branch will be releasing new statistics at these conferences while leading consultancies in China including Beijing Antaike Information Development Co., Ltd. will contribute to keynotes indicating opportunities and challenges created by the changing market demand.
For a second time, the Asian version of SAE World Congress - SAE Asia Congress will be held on day 2 and day 3 alongside ALUMINIUM CHINA 2011. Themed ‘Low Carbon Mobility’, the congress will expand its scope from last year’s focus ‘EV - Driver for Material Innovation’ to a much more in-depth discussion about the role materials will play in the next-generation vehicles. This joint event hosted by SAE Asia and Reed Exhibitions is set to attract executives from leading automotive manufacturers and tier 1 OEMs.
Another highlight this year will be the brand new event running in parallel - INDUSTRIAL MATERIALS CHINA, which will embrace copper, magnesium, composites and wood plastic composite materials. This new launch will make ALUMINIUM CHINA able to meet the application industry’s need for diversified development. With three special pavilions covering primary aluminum, recycling, and aluminum auto parts diplomatically located in the centre of the halls, ALUMINIUM CHINA is making its solid step to become Asia’s leading platform for material solutions.
As the evaluation of Jia Mingxing, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, regarding Aluminum China 2011 goes: “As the weathervane of the development of the aluminum industry, Aluminum China has once again served as a testament of the rapid and healthy development of the Chinese aluminum industry in the past year. It plays an increasingly important role in the global aluminum industry.”
