1. 1. Application

This production line works to produce pure aluminum rod in diameter ofφ9.5mm orφ12mm  Φ15mm by means of continuous casting and rolling. 

2.Brief Process Flow

2.1. Ordinary aluminum ingot and scrap →Melting furnace→ holding furnace→  4-wheel continuous casting machine → front drive unit → roller shears→ continuous rolling mill → cooling & lubricating device for aluminum rod → twin-basket continuous coiler→ oil-free aluminum rod

2.2. Molten aluminum or prepared aluminum melt flows from the holding furnaceinto the 4-wheel casting machine via the launder and is casted into trapezoid-shape bar in across-sectional area of 3400mm². Cut off the bar that does not meet the requirement for rolling with the roller shears, press the front end and feed it into the rolling mill, the rod is coiled into the basket with the coiler.

3. Main Components

This production line is composed of 4-wheel casting machine, front drive unit, roller shears, supporting device for cast bar movement, continuous rolling mill, lubrication oil system for rolling mill, emulsion circulation system for rolling mill, cooling & lubricating system for aluminum rod, two-position  coiler, and electrical control system and so on.

5).Motor power for rolling machine：    1＃、2＃stands、3＃、4＃stands is independently driven by a single motor,Power of motor 55KW、75KW、90KW、90KW (AC，with frequency speed regulation）,5＃～14＃stands are driven by one motor,power of the motor550KW（DC，1000rpm, DC）

6).Final rolling speed：               ~12 m/s（ø9.5  A2 rod）

7) Diameter of outlet rod：                Φ9.5mm,Φ12mm

8).Capacity    :     H12、H14aluminum rod, 7.0-7.5 t/h（Ø9.5mm aluminum rod ）

9)Number of stands：14 (7stands with vertical  roller  , 7 stands with Hoirzontal roller                      

10. Nominal diameter of roll:             φ 360 (1#、2#stands) , φ320(3#、4#stands)
