Preparation for CCM production: Check if the electric system, water supplying system and oil/gas supplying system can work normally. Make sure big steel ladle and intermediate will receive molten steel when they are hot. Make sure all the production tools and equipment are well prepared. Make sure the casting machine is ready for production.
Casting technology and process: Send the dummy bar into the crystallizer from the place of dummy bar storing position, fill the strands with material for guiding the flow, turn on the water cooling system, hoist the big steel ladle loaded with qualified molten steel into the ladle stand, then transferred to the pre-selected position above the tundish car of the intermediate tank. The molten steel, via the intermediate ladle, is distributed into the crystallizer. With high efficiency cooling, various kinds of not completely hardened casting billet cross section is formed. The vibration device leads out the casting billet. The casting speed can be controlled within 04m/min according to different specifications. After the compulsive cooling by the casting billets secondary cooling system, the casting billet is completely is solidified. The straightener makes the arc billet straight.
The steel billet needs to be cut to length according to the requirements required by the heating furnace, rolling machine and finished product. The billet, after coming through the straightener, via the roller table, is sent to the cut-to-length device such as flame cutting machine, synchronous hydraulic shear, etc, for cutting according to the different length of cutting. It is then conveyed to the billet delivery roller table via the roller table after cutting, then transferred to the billet cooling bed by tilting gear or lifting device, hoisted to the appointed billet storing place after cooling, or sent to the heating furnace for hot charge rolling via hot charging roller by billet delivery roller.
