These are heavy duty mills specifically designed for fast reduction of stainless steel flats.The two Backup Rolls are made of Adamite/EN-31 forged alloy steel and the three Work Rolls are made of EN-9/EN-31 forged alloy steel. The drive to the Work Roll is given through a combination of Gearbox - Pinion Stand & Coupling Spindle Assembly. The Mill is provided with forced lubrication system for bearing housing. Normally the Mill can take in an Input thickness of upto 12-16 mm and a minimum output thickness of 1.4 mm. However the mills can be custom designed to suit the indivdual requirements like higher thickness and width.
