The GK-S method employs the registering of gamma-quanta of natural gamma-ray radioactive nuclides (Potassium-40, Uranium and Thorium series). The Potassium, Uranium and Thorium content is estimated according to the gamma-quanta energy spectrum data, aquired from the tool. The various ratio of these elements distinguish the various types of clay and rocks. Thus, the method enables the lithology of the geology section penetrated by the well and the survey of clayiness and clay types according to radionuclide content. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
