copper clad aluminum (cca) wire applicable for inner conductor of low voltage cables
Detailed Product Description
Copper clad aluminum wire (cca wire) is a bimetallic wire with a copper cladding concentrically covering an aluminum core, which combines the optimum properties of both metals in a single composite material ideally suited for most electrical conductor applications. The processing method of CCA wire is similar to that of copper wire during cable manufacturing.
Manufacture standard: SJ/T 11223-2000, ASTM B566:1993, Copper Clad Aluminum Wire
We specialize in bare CCA wire and Tinned CCA wire, the diameter of the wire ranging from 0.10mm - 0.80mm .
Advantages of CCA:1. Light-weight: CCAW is about one-third of the weight of copper wire of the same thickness. This is extremely advantageous for reducing the weight of the coil2. DC resistance: CCAW has about 1.5 times the DC resistance of copper wire. Because it is three times as light as copper wire, however, only one-half of the weight of copper wire is needed to handle the same current3. Soldering: Because the surface of the conductor of CCAW is clad with copper, there is no need for special soldering as is the case with aluminum wire. Soldering can be done in exactly the same way as with copper wire
