Aluminum Alloy Tubes 5052

Introduction 

5052 is AL-Mg alloy aluminum and is widely used as a rust-proof aluminum, it owns high strength , especially those with anti-fatigue strength: high ductility and corrosion resistance, heat treatment can strengthen, in the semi-cold work hardening of the plastic is still good, low plasticity when cold hardening, good corrosion resistance, good weldability, cutting performance bad, can be polished.

Ranges of Applications

5052 aluminum is mainly used to  medium of a high plasticity and good weldability, low-load part of the work in the liquid or gaseous , such as mailboxes, gasoline or lubricants catheter, a variety of liquid containers and other deep drawing production load parts: wire used to make rivets. Also commonly used in transport vehicles, the sheet metal of the ship, meters, street lights bracket and rivets, hardware, electrical enclosure.

Cr: 0.15 ~ 0.35;

Mechanical Properties 

Tensile strength (σb): 170 ~ 305MPa

Conditions yield strength σ0.2 (MPa) ≥ 65

Modulus of elasticity (E): 69.3 ~ 70.7Gpa

The annealing temperature: 345 ℃.

Hardening and heat treatment condition, the mechanical properties are different.
